American Apparel Stirrup Pantyhose

I woke up at 1 p.m. after an eventful night (We saw Skyfall! It was awesome!) to find an email from none other than American Apparel, forwarded to me from Chochi, offering FREE Shiny Stirrup Pantyhose. Ever since moving to the city, we have been a little obsessed with AA, especially after the discovery of the American Apparel Factory Outlet, on Lafayette between Houston and Prince. We've made some pretty cool purchases – everything from black disco pants at half price to black lace body suits.
Off topic...anyway, today, we went to the AA on Bleecker and 6th to take advantage of their free tights offer, and purchased a couple other things in addition (for me, black leggings to fuel my workout clothing addiction, and for Chochi, 3 new nail polishes...see below). We both decided on dark grey, a neutral color that's easy to style, but still on trend with the metallics that we're seeing so much of this season. Since Chochi and I have very different styles, we decided to put together two outfits (one day and one night) each featuring our new tights, to show you how we would wear them.

Free People & Refinery29 Event

Tuesday, November 13, was the day Hallie and I were supposed to go watch the five beautiful angels that are One Direction on the Today Show. We missed it :(, though perhaps for the better, because we received an invite to go visit the 5th Ave Free People event in collaboration with Refinery29. The event showcased the latest holiday collection, with plenty of sequined dresses, sheepskin jackets, lots of knits,  and these super cute pompom beanies (seen below on Connie!).
The event was really hopping (to risk the use of an antiquated cliche) with a live band and concession stand serving delicious cider, (spiked with snaps for the adults ohohohoho)
All in all, it was a great night, I picked up a great pink dress (Which I've styled in an upcoming post, stay tuned)  and Hallie set her eyes on a fabulous slinky blue number for the holidays. We also got to meet Connie Wang, who is one of the Refinery29 editors. She's a real laugh, and great style too!

Yummy vegan marshmellows at the concession stand.

Perfect stockings to stuff with fabulous gifts for your family and friends.
Very much want.

Connie and I posin' for the cameraman aka Hallie :)
